Hank needs Help for neck and spine surgery

Hank, the happiest little sausage, at just two years old, has been diagnosed with Atlantoaxial luxation. This means he is struggling to walk as he cannot hold his head up and is in a lot of pain. We can't take him for walks and his life right now consists of resting in his bed and being carried outside to go to the toilet.

We are heartbroken that this is happening to Hank - he has given so much comfort, love and happiness to those who get the pleasure to meet him. To those of you that have not, he has always been full of joy, excited to meet new people and get all their attention and belly rubs.

He has been there for us through some really hard times, and now it is our turn to step up and help him through his.

We took out insurance for Hank in case anything were to happen, (and paid our insurance premiums every month), but unfortunately we are unable to get cover for his surgery and care (medication, scans etc) through them.

His diagnosis and medications so far have come to over £6500. This includes an MRI, multiple CT scans, and expensive pain and antinflammatory medication.

However, now the diagnosis is in, we have been told that in order to get Hank back to his happy care-free self he will need surgery too, which is bringing the total to over £12500 (we won’t know the exact cost until after surgery but have been given this value as a minimum).
