Hello, my name is Elizabeth Balkema and I am Hank Malone's daughter. I created this GoFundMe to request assistance for Hank's end-of-life expenses.

In recent months, Hank was dealing with some health struggles and pain in his abdomen. After several hospital stays and specialist consultations, he only just got a cancer diagnosis in mid-December. Shortly after, he was admitted to the hospital and has been there ever since. The cancer has metastasized and unfortunately spread quickly to his liver, lungs and bones. His condition has worsened and doctors recommended that treatments cease and for him to be kept comfortable in his remaining days. Hank is currently being transitioned to in-home Hospice care.

If you knew Hank, it was well-known that his family has been extremely important to him throughout his life. He cherished time spent with his daughter, son-in-law Dan and especially his grandchildren, Lily & Andrew. He has remained close with his sister Donna and her daughters, Ann & Janet and their families. He kept in touch with extended family worldwide. Hank had friends all over the country and if you were a friend to him, please know that he loved you and prayed for you fervently. He always looked forward to time spent together and reminiscing.
