Donación protegida
Hi everyone! So you may or may not know, but our friends Hank and Nate were supposed to be moving to Portland this week. But thru an unfortunate series of events they've lost both their deposit ($2300!), and the apartment they were supposed to move into. On top of that, they have to move out of their place this Monday. So they're planning on putting all their stuff in storage, and taking extended roadtrip to visit friends/family, but as of now, there's no plan in place for somewhere to live.
Hank and Nate are dear friends to so many of us, it just doesn't feel right to leave them hanging like this. They would absolutely tell us "Do not do a GoFundMe!" and they would especially not want this made public on Facebook.
SO - let's not post this! Let's just pass the link around to people we know love them, and get these guys back on the road to Portland. I would suggest reaching out to people directly FIRST, letting them know what's up, then passing the link on if they're up for donating.
The money will be held by GoFundMe until they find a new place to rent.
The money we raise (a bit extra to cover all the fees) will be disbursed when they find a place. We'll miss them, but Portland is awesome and we can all go visit!
