Grief doesn’t always hit all at once. Sometimes it takes tequila, bad decisions, and oversharing on voice notes to feel anything at all.
This short film, written by Persephone Wood and directed by Ellicia (Elle) Lotherington captures that messy, human truth. The film stars Indy Lewis and Patrick Baladi and is shot on 16mm thanks to the kind support of Kodak.
Told in reverse, the film follows a young woman’s sun-drenched spiral of self-discovery and self-destruction in the aftermath of loss. Inspired by Elle’s personal experience, it explores the unexpected and sometimes chaotic ways we cope.
Thanks to a sold out fundraiser and early supporters, the film has already been fully financed through production. Now, we’re raising the final stage of funding to complete post-production and bring the film to audiences through festival release.
If you can help, you’ll be supporting an honest, heartfelt film about grief, healing and the strange, sometimes funny, ways we fall apart before we learn to put ourselves back together.
