Hangca family needs support!

Friends, Family, Neighbors and associates! Our friends are in need!

In case you don’t know them, the Hangcas are a family who are very supportive of their community. They are new residents of the Des Moines, WA area. Melanie is an elementary public school music educator, and participates in the Tacoma Symphony’s choir. Nate works for the University of Washington. Their son is a fourth grader who loves to read, and is a huge Star Wars fan.

This extremely giving family has been beset by many hardships recently:

A kidney illness with ongoing complications has increased the family’s medical costs

Additional medical complications: eye disease has caused vision loss resulting in additional injuries and trips to the ER/urgent care. There are also sleep issues causing falls and damage in the house

The family’s single car has issues which need immediate attention

Nate has reached the end of his paid leave with the chronic illness

They have lost multiple relatives to the Covid pandemic and cancer

While dealing with the above they have continued to be involved in their community and giving of their time and support in many situations. All of this and enduring the record Pacific Northwest heat this summer.

This lovely family needs our help! Because of unplanned medical, car, funerary, and other expenses, they have come extremely close to the edge of what they can endure financially. The goal for this GoFundMe drive is to help with a few months’ expenses. If you would rather provide a service and you know them personally, please reach out.
