I’m a close friend of Haneen Mahmoud but I live kilometers away from her reality (France), we call each other frequently and everything I see is desolation.
The only thing I can do is help her to survive in Gaza, here is her testimony.
« My name is Haneen. I’m 17 years old and from Gaza, specifically from the heavily bombed Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood.
I used to live a simple, warm life with my family. I was always top of my class, dreaming of becoming a dentist and making my parents proud. But war changed everything…
The relentless bombing destroyed my city, my school, my home, and shattered my dreams overnight. We were forced to flee multiple times, leaving behind everything we loved.
Now, I live in Gaza with my mother, seven siblings, and my sick brother, who is divorced and raising three children. We struggle daily to survive amidst the destruction.
We suffer from a severe shortage of basic needs — food, clean water, medicine, and hygiene supplies — while prices have skyrocketed and jobs have disappeared.
Despite my young age, I do everything I can to support my mother, even working online, but it’s still not enough.
This campaign is not for luxury — it is for survival. To buy food, hygiene supplies, medicine. »
