Hands on India - Scott & Vanessa

In January 2018, we are joining a group of like-minded chiropractors to support the communities around Siliguri, West Bengal, India – an area bordered by Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and China.

Over the course of 2 weeks, we will travel to set up clinics in slums, orphanages and communities of labourers; working with the Mother Theresa Nuns to help those who have limited access to health care.

Hands on India now provides financial support for 7 schools with over 700 children - funding the teachers, schools and learning materials for children who previously had no access to schooling.

Funding also goes towards Women's Empowerment Groups, now over 2000 women  strong! Allowing for the purchase of farm animals, sewing machines and skills workshops, and in turn building financial independence for their families. Most of the women in the project are illiterate and “voiceless” resulting in poor status and lack of unity.

All of the funds raised go to the Siliguri region schools, Women's Empowerment projects and providing healthcare to the region. Thanks for your support!
