Hi, I'm Qasim.

I'm not really one for candles and Wednesday showed me why. I lit a vanilla scented candle to relax, which worked and I fell asleep peacefully. Five hours later I was awakened by the smell of smoke and burning flesh. I was on fire! I tried to put it out with my hands out of panic and I ended up with second degree burns on both my hands and the back of my thighs. I am in so much pain physically and mentally. The damages that the small candle caused is astronomical. My room is inhabitable, my mattress and carpet are ruined and I cant quite get rid of the images of my skin and fingernails falling off my hand (pictures added below).

Everything is raw and red. I am completely unable to do the smallest of tasks and need assistance for everything. I'm making this gofundme as I am now out of work and need financial assistance to redo my room and to purchase miscellaneous items that got damaged as well. Every donation is appreciated and I'm praying for a speedy recovery.
