Hands For Peace Online Retreat for Ukraine

Tax deductible
A bit about Hands For Peace:

Do you want to join us in making a difference? Motivated to help those affected by the war in Ukraine we're holding a half day online mindfulness, yoga & art retreat to  help raise money for the charity Emergency Action Alliance which supports Ukranian families displaced by war.

We ask you to join us on this special half day event where you get to nourish yourself whilst donating to provide urgent support to families requiring emergency items such as blankets, medicine and hygiene kits.

About Emergency Action Alliance:

Emergency Action Alliance charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.

By donating to the Ukraine Emergency Appeal, you'll help provide direct and life-saving aid to families displaced by war.

An example of what your donation could provide:

$55 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month
$75 could provide blankets for four families.
$300 could provide emergency food for two families for six weeks.

About Hands For Peace Half-Day Online Retreat:

We understand these times we're living through are stressful for everyone so we are offering a nourishing morning of self-care through practices such as: mindfulness, yoga, sacred art and concluding with a beautiful piano sound journey to lift your spirits and replenish your cup.

This online retreat is totally free to attend; all we ask is for you to give from your heart and donate generously to this worthy cause to help provide emergency assistance to children and families affected by the war in Ukraine.

When and Where:

We invite you to join us on May 1st from 9am-12:30pm Perth-time (+8GMT).

We will gather together via ZOOM where you will be guided through nourishing and explorative practices which nurture and empower peace, goodwill, care and compassion within ourselves with those ripples extending out into  the world.

A passion for supporting health and wellbeing, people and planet through holistic practices, Melinda  started exploring  healing modalities and ancient wisdom practices such as mindfulness, reiki and shamanism before launching into a full-time 3 year study of kinesiology.  Immediately after completing her diploma she devoted two years to living and volunteering at a dharma centre in the remote south-west of Western Australia. During this time she studied and developed her own practice whilst being in service to the wisdom teachings and supporting a vibrant community whilst in the role as manager of the centre.

Through deep energetic space holding and a passion for sharing the gifts gleaned through her dedicated studies, life experience, teaching, and commitment to daily practice Melinda provides a transformative and empowering healing environment for those who she serves.

"I enjoy Melinda's teachings very much, she has a very calming & accepting presence.  She brings wisdom and explanations as to how our bodies & minds go together, about ancient techniques & where they began & how they are relevant today.
Doing Mindfulness practice has reduced my anxiety & stress, it gives me peace from constant worry about my chronic pain & in a short time I noticed my days are more peaceful & happy,"  Rachel Blackledge

You’ll be invited to explore your unique potential with grace, courage, strength and confidence. Gather insights about yourself and the world around you.

Mars was teaching yoga internationally at yoga retreats, studios and online for many years, before returning home to Australia during Covid. Now back in her hometown of Bunbury, she shares the path of Yoga & Healing as a co-owner, teacher and massage therapist at Hot Yoga Bunbury.
