Ewing's Sarcoma Cancer
Donation protected
My 43rd birthday, (March) pain began. Suffered until diagnosis of Ewing's Sarcoma 6-14-15, rare juvenile bone cancer, located in lower spine (sacrum). Endured 6 weeks daily radiation, 17 cycles of chemo, daily oral chemo, went through hell. Through it all, I've maintained positive attitude. Began part time job, building stamina, grow out hair. Enjoying life until again, my birthday. March 12, 2017. Pain, in right shoulder was just too much. MRI, CT Scan, lung biopsy, agonizing days and some pain meds later, was given familiar diagnosis. 4-28-17 diagnosed with reoccurance of Ewing's Sarcoma. New tumor's located soft tissue, near lung, invading ribcage, on my right side. With donations I was able to travel here to Dallas, and stay with family, while I'm signed up for the 'Lipoplex' trial. I'm only the 4th to undergo this incredible study plus the oldest patient the doctor's ever seen with this childhood disease, A perfect fit! I'm healthy, heart lungs and blood all look great. If this treatment works I could be a part of groundbreaking research! Save hundreds of thousands of people. Treatment's VERY time consuming and expensive. Sponser covers only part of the cost. I'm responsible for the rest on no job. Nebraska insurance won't cover anything. Every penny I have or gets goes toward hospital bills. Could be here in Texas for a year, or more. I've left everyone, and everything, behind. To get better. While undergoing treatment, not sure if I'll be healthy enough to work. So, checking into resources available to me. Getting better is my full time job now.
Thank you for your donation. I plan to give back to my community, others fighting cancer, once I'm better, and/or cured of this deadly disease.
Cancer sucks!
