Handicap Lift for Diana Waggoner

Hi my name is Misty Waggoner and I'm starting this fundraiser to help my Mom Diana Waggoner purchase a New Handicap Lift for our Vehicle. My Mom has been a Paraplegic since 1991 and since then we have use Medical Lifts to get her in and out of vehicles. The last one we had has stop working completely, the motor has died, but it was 13 years old and served its purpose. The unfortunate thing is that it has happen at the absolute worst time. My Mom was in the hospital two whole months ( May to July of this year) recovering from a flap surgery she had to have due to sever wounds she had developed. We were taking her to wound care for a year but the wounds got so bad, if we had waited another week she could have gone septic and died, she had already lost so much weight and we did not want to wait. She has been home a month now and still is going to wound care once a week but we got bad news Two Weeks Ago. Turns out the rehab hospital she was at released her to soon, one of her wounds open back up and she still has Osteomyelitis ( a infection in the bone) , something we were told was cured but turns out it was not, the Wound Care people say they can help cure the infection completely but it will require her going into Wound Care Five Days A Week so she can have Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. So we need a Lift to take her to Therapy five days a week, insurance will not pay for new one and I have search high and low for a use one but was informed by the company that installs new medical lifts they will not install "Used Ones" due to liability. The New Turneys cost $18,000 but I found a cheaper Lift that will do the Job for $10,000. I have $3,000 saved up and just need help with the rest. I already sought out other ways to purchase (loans, pay in payments etc.) but its a no go, so my Mom and our family need help. Thank you any amount helps. - Misty Waggoner
