Handcycle from Ashton to Blackpool Tower and return journey
Donation protected
To my family and friends
My name is Pauline and I am writing to share my story with you.
I have faced a life-altering challenge in my past due to vascular issues which resulted in me losing both of my legs, While this has been emotionally and physically draining, I remain committed to regaining my independence, living a fulfilling life, and continuing my passion for adventure.
I frequently embark on my own personal goals for example using my handcycle around Avenham park which is approximately 10miles a couple times a week.
However, I am faced with an obstacles that requires your support. My current wheelchair is getting too heavy and is limiting my mobility so therefore I'm asking for donations towards a lighter wheelchair to enable me to navigate around the world with greater ease and independence.
Apart from my personal journey, I am passionate about giving back to others who face similar challenges for example The Amputation Foundation which is a charity who has giving me the opportunity to participate in white water rafting and zip world, so therefore it has been instrumental in providing me with invaluable support, and I wish to contribute by donating a portion of the raised funds to this organization
On the 30th June 2024 I will be embarking on a epic hand cycling journey, which will see me riding from my hometown of Ashton, Preston to Blackpool tower and back, a total of 35miles via Freckleton, Warton, Lytham St Anne's to the tower and back.
Any contribution made, regardless of its size, will make an impact in my life. Together, we can overcome the challenges set before me, continue pursuing my passion for adventure, and help make an impact in our community.
Thank you for considering supporting my journey. Your generosity and kindness will make a world of difference.
Warm regards,
Pauline
