Handcycle for my brother Simon

My name is Magdalena.
My younger brother Simon suffers from a spainal injury. He moves in a wheelchair. His big dream is to buy a handcycle, on which he could once again feel free and independent. My brother is a hero to me and I would love to help him achieve this dream.

Moj mlodszy brat Szymon choruje z powodu uszkodzenia rdzenia kregowego. Porusza sie na wozku. Jego wielkim marzeniem jest kupno handbika tzn. roweru napedzanego rekami, na ktorym moglby znow poczuc sie wolnym i niezaleznym.
Bardzo chcialabym mu pomoc dlatego prosimy o wsparcie i podzielenie sie nasza historia ze znajomymi.

My name is Simon. The reason I am writing to you is because I am in need of support. I use a wheelchair and have great difficulty moving using crutches.
I am raising funds for the purchase of a handcycle.
Unfortunately, the financial situation of people with disabilities in Poland still leaves much to be desired, and since the price of the handcycle is approximately 4000 GPB, I am unable to purchase one using my own resources.
What is handcycle?
A handcycle is a type of human-powered land vehicle powered by the arms rather than the legs, as on a bicycle. Most handcycles are tricycle in form, with two coasting rear wheels and one steerable powered front wheel. Despite usually having three wheels, they are also known as handbikes.
Why do I need a handcycle?
I need the bike to be able to stay fit and alleviate the effects of my illness as much as possible.
I would also like to be able to go on cycling trips with my 8-year-old son, who does not fully understand why I have to move around on a wheelchair while he can run around.
The bike would give me the feeling of freedom and independence I miss so much.

Niestety koszt jego zakupu to okolo 20tys. zlotych, co przewyzsza moje wlasne zdolnosci finansowe. Poniewaz instytucje publiczne, ktore moglyby mi pomoc, rowniez nie maja pieniedzy (PCPR w moim miescie na sprzet rehabilitacyjny na rok 2015 przeznaczone mial 10tys. zlotych na powiat liczacy 170tys. mieszkancow) zwracam sie do Was z prosba o wsparcie.
Kazda zlotowka przybliza mnie do celu i wierze, ze uda mi sie do nowego sezonu zebrac niezbedna kwote i kupic wymarzony rower.
Potrzebuje tego roweru, zeby mozliwie zminimalizowac skutki mojej choroby, utrzymac organizm w formie oraz realizowac swoja pasje. Chcialbym moc rowniez aktywnie spedzac czas z moim osmioletnim synem i zabierac go na rowerowe wycieczki :)
Prosze o udostepnianie mojego apelu, aby dotarl do jak najwiekszej ilosci osob.
