Our Jill has been having a rough time. starting back in October of 2019 she began having respiratory issues; making it difficult for her to breathe and function even doing minimal daily routines and duties. After almost a year of research at specialty doctors, medical visits, week-long stays in ICU, and loss of work she was finally diagnosed in the beginning of August with Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis. Her condition unfortunately has been found to be chronic due to the lung damage that occurred while determining what was going on. She has extensive damage to the right upper lung.
As if she wasn’t already having a rough go: August 21st while Jill was driving home from a doctors appt in Sonora; traveling down Parrotts Ferry Road she was hit by a drunk driver. Thankfully only minimal physical injuries happened which she is seeing a chiropractor and a physical therapist for. Unfortunately, her mental and emotional state had another blow once again-wreaking havoc on a already fragile nervous system. She was diagnosed with PTSD and is going to need counseling. The car was TOTALED! A 2018 Chevy Trax. While being the responsible gal she is and having everything covered, her insurance company is trying to deny her GAP insurance. If this doesnt settle soon she will need to file a suit against the company and we all know attorney fees are not fun.
For those of you that know Jill personally I dont need to remind you of her hard work, ethic, integrity and loving spirit. For those of you that dont: Jill is a beautiful, single, 58 year old woman that has been working two to three jobs for the past 30 plus years. Raising two daughters and helping her community, her friends, her family. Always making herself available to those in need.
Being a naturally independent woman she was not wanting to ask for any handouts or wanting to weigh down on others. Her daughters decided that while her pride can remain intact she needs help; as we all do in this crazy little thing we call life.
Jill is grateful that she was able to return to work this past week now that she has treated the major infections. We are praying she can continue on and become healthier and healthier; heal emotionally, mentally, physically and heal that damaged lung.
We are asking for 10k to recoup lost savings, uncovered medical costs, copays and living expenses. Hopefully we can gather enough funds to cover any incidentals with attorney fees and down payment for vehicle as well. If each of us pitch in just a little it will add to a lot and helping hands is how we get by.
