Hand Controls and a Mobility Scooter Due to MS
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Timothy. I was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis in 2019. At the time I had had MS for a minimum of 10 years according to my neurologist/MS specialist. I now understand MS was the cause of my back & mobility issues in 2007. I was fully employed at a Foundry in the Core Room. I woke up one morning & my legs would not move. As a result of testing I was told I had Bulging Disks & a pinched nerve. I underwent 2 Spinal injections & was able to return to work after a 4 Month leave on Short term Disability. I continued working until 2010 at which time my symptoms started advancing more rapidly. I wish to be able to continue driving & to be able to enjoy living lif to its fullest. I am in need of Hand controls for my car, Running Boards, a mobility scooter & a trailer hitch with Cargo Carrier for the scooter. I have already completed the assessment which puts me at high risk driving without Hand Controls. The Running Boards will assist me getting in & out of my SUV. The Scooter will be used daily to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. I greatly appreciate any help as Insurance covers zero costs so I bare the burden of all costs & I am no longer able to earn the money. Thank you all very much! Timothy
