Hana's Service Project for Chicago Hearing Society
Donation protected
- My name is Hana Levy٫ and I am 12 years old. In November٫ I will be having my bat-mitzvah. One of the responsibilities I will be taking on is a service project. For my project, I decided to do a fund-raiser for the Chicago Hearing Society because I love music. I am a flute player and a singer, and I empathize with anyone who doesn’t get to experience the joys of music. I also believe that the disability community is being marginalized٫ and is not getting as much attention as other groups.
- The Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) is an organization in my community that works with youth who are deaf or deaf/blind. They provide audiology services, like cochlear implant surgery, as well. They are an amazing organization٫ that not only teaches kids how to live in the hearing world٫ but also helps them develop better hearing with the audiology services they provide. My fundraiser will include presenting an Academy-award nominated short film about the deaf community, a speaker from CHS, and possibly some musical performances. Please consider a contribution to this extremely worthy cause.
