Hanan and Salma flee Gaza and reunite with Muhannad

My name is Hanan Abdullatif and here is my story.
Once, life was peaceful for me and my daughter. My husband Muhannad Abu Abdo had traveled to the United Arab Emirates to find work, hoping to support our family. I worked as a dentist and did voice-over work on the side.

But then, the war in Gaza broke out, and everything changed. My husband was already in the UAE when it started. My private dental clinic was bombed and destroyed. I lost all my equipment for voice-over work too.
I had hoped to join my husband in 2024, but the war made it impossible. Now, I'm far from home, struggling to take care of my daughter Salma without a job or a safe place to live. My daughter misses her dad a lot, and it's hard to see her sad.

In my work as a voice-over artist, I collaborated with clients from around the world. They continued to reach out to me, but I couldn't complete the projects due to the destruction of my recording equipment and the loss of internet connectivity. Electricity and internet services were completely disrupted, making it impossible to stay in touch with clients and complete projects.
Also, I must pay a lot of money to cross through the Rafah crossing to the Egyptian side with my daughter, as this is the only available route for us to escape the war and seek safety. Upon reaching the Egyptian side, I will also need to rebuild my career as a voice-over artist to regain my source of income and secure our future. As we cross to Egypt, I will work on applying for a visa to get to travel to the UAE to reunite with Muhannad.
The dream of returning home and sitting peacefully with my family has become impossible, as the war continues to ravage everything in our lives, turning all our hopes and dreams into rubble. Each passing day feels like an eternity, filled with uncertainty and fear. The simple joys of family gatherings and laughter now seem like distant memories, overshadowed by the harsh realities of displacement and loss. Despite the overwhelming challenges, I hold onto the faint glimmer of hope that one day, peace and justice will prevail, and we will rebuild our shattered lives anew.

I'm sharing my story to show how hard war can be for families like mine. With your help, we can rebuild our lives and find happiness again.
The cost of evacuating an adult is $5000, and for Salma $2500, and the cost of rebuilding my voice-over equipment is $2500 so I can start work right away.
My brother Amro is in the UK and he will get all the funds transferred to him, and he will then send them over to me.
