My name is Saidah Al-Ansari. I am from Florida, in the United States and I have created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Amal Mahmoud. Amal has been displaced from her home in Rafah, and is now living in a tent. As most of us are aware, the current humanitarian situation in Gaza is extremely difficult. With your support, Amal will be able to secure the most basic necessities of life - Clean water, food, clothing, and winter supplies as the seasons are changing.

As we raise money, all donations will be sent to Amal directly through a secure bank wire transfer.

“I am Amal from Gaza, mother of two girls (Saba and Fatoum) and we are currently almost 2 years into the war, and things are getting more difficult. We are now in all areas of Gaza under heavy siege. There is no entry of aid, and the lack of aid means a slow death sentence for the entire population. The worst kind of death is to die of starvation. We are going through a severe famine. Our families have been displaced, several times, and are currently unable to provide food, water, clothing and basic necessities. Aside from the fact that there is currently no income due to the ongoing war, food is also at an unimaginable cost. Everything that is sold is 5-20 times the normal price. Sometimes much more. As you can imagine, it is very difficult for someone who is unable to work and earn money, and my husband was injured in the war and cannot work. Your support means a lot to us.

Otherwise, I am trying hard to help my entire family, which is very large (my mother, father, brothers, sisters and their children) to evacuate them to Egypt. With your help, we can reach our goal as soon as possible, and your donation will be rewarded by Allah. Thank you to every donor.”
