Hey Folx! My name is Hamilton, and I'm a Queer, Trans, Black & Latinx non-binary person in Arizona. My pronouns are they/them.
Now this is the part where I am supposed to tell you my story that pulls at your heartstrings, in hopes that you’ll feel sympathetic and donate to my top surgery fund. However, if you know me at all…..you know that that’s not my truth.
So, here is my truth:
I love and am affirmed by my Non-Binary identity. I also feel that I am not able to express my gender in the way that I would like because of the body that I am in.
I bind EVERY SINGLE DAY…..and frankly, I am tired of it.
I am super excited for top surgery, and I also know that having surgery does not make me any less or more Trans.
I don't dream about one day being able to walk down the beach topless. In my future dreams, I see myself wearing mesh tops, funky rompers, and plunging necklines! Think Billy Porter meets Grace Jones!
Finding who I am hasn't been easy, but I have supportive friends, an affirming job, a wonderful partner, and a family that loves me. I am ready to be THIRTY, FLIRTY and THRIVING!

Finally, I value accountability and want to be transparent with every single dollar donated. Below are the details of costs and how donations will be utilized:
My top surgery is scheduled for December 24th, 2019. I’m very lucky to have insurance that will cover a portion of the surgery. The remaining balance after insurance is $7800 which I need to pay two months before my surgery date. I will stay in Phoenix for one week afterwards to be close to the doctor’s office while I recover and to limit unnecessary travel for post-surgery visits. My partner and I are committed to saving $2,500 towards this fund ourselves. Your donation will help cover the majority of the surgery. Additionally, any amount above what is needed will be donated to another QTPOC member of our community for top surgery.
