Hamden's MLK39 Diversity and Equity Mural

RiseUP for Arts is partnering with the Town of Hamden and several local organizations to create a public art mural that will celebrate the diversity and cultures of the community and highlight the messages of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The mural in Hamden MLK39 mural is part of RiseUP's state-wide mural tour to paint 39 MLK themed community murals across Connecticut, one for every year of MLK's life.

The mural will be painted on Miller Memorial Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, CT. 

 

The mural's lead artist will be Emida Roller with support from local artists and the community. More about Emida's work can be found at https://www.emidaroller.com/.

 

We are seeking to raise $15,000.   The total budget is $15,000 and includes artist payment, materials and supplies, community engagement, and a community mural celebration.
