Hall's Haul

Bill Hall, a family man, loving husband, and veteran, was doing the all-American Memorial weekend tradition when in an instant he experienced a life changing event. As most everyone does over the holiday weekend that welcomes summer, Bill was outdoors doing chores around the house and wanted to end the day with hamburgers on the grill for dinner. Unfortunately, an accident struck when Bill was involved in a flash fire when lighting the grill before he could enjoy his moment.


If there is any positive news, it is that Bill is in stable condition at the burn center in Winston-Salem, NC. He received 2nd and 3rd degree burns completely on both legs, up his torso, right arm and right side of his face. He is being closely monitored for any complications and is scheduled to receive skin graft surgery in the upcoming days. We will continue to keep you updated on his progress.


Bill and his wife, Marilyn, along with their 2 year old son and 3 other children have a long journey of recovery before them. The family endured a hardship late last year and has been relying on one income since that time. The extent of Bill’s injuries will keep him in the hospital for several weeks and any future career on hold. Marilyn continues to work under tremendous stress and demand so that they are able to provide any type of normalcy throughout Bill’s recovery process.

 
As co-workers of Marilyn’s, we support the family throughout these difficult times and would like to reach out to family, friends, and the community for any support that can be provided for such a hard-working, dedicated family to be able to ease a small financial part of the journey that lies ahead for them.
