WEF Halloween Walk 2021

The Halloween WEF Walk has become a tradition in Wilmington’s schools. The walk reinforces the Wilmington Public School’s belief in physical activity and physical education for all students’ academic success. In conjunction with many children's favorite holiday. Put the two together and you have a great way to raise money for our schools and have fun.

Since the first Walk in 2009, this K-5 fitness walk has become the Wilmington Education Foundation’s largest fundraisers. Fundraising dollars support the annual STEM Fair, Art Fair, and grant funding in the areas of Technology, Curriculum, Educator Exploration and Miscellaneous Grants.

Students, kindergarten through Grade 5, are encouraged to ask family and friends to sponsor them in this walk. They are invited to wear Halloween costumes, favorite sports team shirts, or orange and black colors for the walk. Wilmington schools will conduct the walk on Thursday and Friday, October 28th and 29th, during the school day.

Sponsor sheets are also distributed to students in the beginning of October. Click here to see what your money helps to fund
