Fundraiser on behalf of the Friends of Macon Library for "Masquerade on Macon: Midnight at the Library."
A Halloween extravaganza in BedStuy. – help us make it happen!
The plan: a fun and spooky play for audiences of all ages on Halloween! A stage will be set up outside the library, on Macon street, and the block will be closed to traffic. The show runs 15 minutes and will repeat several times throughout the evening.
Synopsis: What happens when the library closes and the characters in the books come to life? Will Rumpelstiltskin’s quest to free all the villains in all the books ruin Halloween?
About the Masquerade on Macon team: we are a group of community members, including several BedStuy residents who were active with the group that produced the famous Halloween shows in Clinton Hill.
We need to raise funds to cover the cost of renting a stage (by far our biggest expense), as well as sets and costumes. We want this to be a fun event for everyone in our community.
