Halloween Flood Relief for Tara Capponi
Donation protected
Living in Central NY, we have been lucky to not experience many natural disasters. However, in the past few years, we have seen catastrophic damage year after year. Our area was hit with a devasting storm on Halloween, and Mother Nature was not a force to be reckoned with.
Unfortunately, Tara was a victim of this tragedy. On the morning of Nov. 1, 2019, she watched from her home as the water from the West Canada creek slowly crept toward her property. Minutes later, she had to be evacuated via emergency rescue boat as the Creek completely overtook her neighborhood, bringing only what she could carry in her arms.
Her home was severely damaged, making it unlivable. She lost her car, all of her furniture, clothes, shoes, appliances, food. The insurance company will not compensate for the damages, and the funding available through the State and County are just not enough for the thousands of people who are in similar situations.
Anyone that knows Tara knows that she is the first person to offer help to anyone when needed. Please, if you can, consider a donation.
