Ich habe gedacht, ich schaffe das alleine, muss aber nun doch einsehen, dass ich um Hilfe bitten muss.

Ich bin Student und lebe seit einigen Jahren in Mexiko. Bekanntermassen gibt es ein vielen Ländern nicht den Tierschutz, wie wir ihn von Deutschland her kennen. Oft wird man hier in Mexiko mit dem Elend, insbesondere von Hunden und Katzen, konfrontiert.

Ich konnte das nicht mitansehen, wollte einfach helfen, und lebe inzwischen mit 11 Hunden und 4 Katzen auf einem kleinen gemieteten Grundstück auf dem Land.

Es sind Tiere, die ich krank oder verletzt von der Strasse aufgesammelt habe, offensichtlich von ihren Besitzern einfach ausgesetzt und ihrem Schicksal (mir) überlassen. Das ein oder andere habe ich auch aus anderen Notsituationen befreien müssen.

Jeder, der auch nur ein oder zwei Tiere an seinem Leben teilnehmen lässt, weiss, dass dies nicht nur Freude sondern auch eine Menge Arbeit und Kosten verursacht, sich verantwortungsvoll um diese zu kümmern.

Tierarztrechnungen, Futter, Spezialfutter für zwei Hündinnen, Manchas und Canela, mit Allergien und meine asthmatische Miez Lulu (die 14 tägig noch ein Depotpräparat gespritzt bekommt und demnächst wohl einen Inhalator braucht) – alles muss und wird natürlich auch bezahlt. Ich stosse halt nur absolut an die Grenzen meiner finanziellen Möglichkeiten, komm aus den Schulden nicht mehr heraus, musste meine Universitätsausbildung unterbrechen, kann weder zum Zahnarzt, noch mein Auto reparieren, beschränke mich inzwischen wirklich aufs absolut notwendigste - es geht einfach nicht mehr: ich brauche wirklich Eure Hilfe, um die ich hier ganz lieb bitten möchte! Oberstes Ziel ist, meiner Bande auch weiterhin ein schönes und würdiges Zuhause und Leben zu bieten!

Ich würde mich auch sehr darüber freuen, wenn sich jemand zu einer Patenschaft für eines der Tierchen durchringen könnte. Betty Boo, eine Hündin, die ich vor einem halben Jahr sterbend auf der Strasse eingesammelt habe, hat sich mit Hilfe ihrer “Patentante” inzwischen in ein echtes Energiebündel verwandelt, wofür ich so unglaublich dankbar bin!

Die Bande und ich würden uns wirklich über Eure Unterstützung freuen, jeder kleine Betrag hilft ungemein.

Gofundme bittet mich nun darum, ein erstes Spendenziel zu definieren, was natürlich in meinem etwas allgemein gehaltenem Fall etwas schwierig ist. Dieses Jahr hat mit einigen medizinischen Notfällen begonnen, die Schulden in der Tierklinik, meinem Zahnarzt und der Bank hinterlassen haben, die dringend getilgt werden müssen. Zudem muss dringend das Auto repariert werden , was mein einziges Transportmittel ist, das mich und die Tiere vom Dorf in die Stadt bewegt. Es fährt noch irgendwie, mit kaputter Zylinderkopfdichtung, das darf ich aber auf keinen Fall verlieren. Und wenn etwas übrig bleibt, wärs natürlich grossartig, an die Uni zurückzukehren, bin wirklich so dicht am Abschluss dran. Es ist einfach schade, dass das wegen fehlendem Geld im Moment nicht weitergehen kann. Die erbetene Summe sollte vorerst helfen, mein Leben wieder in den Griff zu bekommen. Ich hab da noch die ein oder andere Idee, aber das muss halt erst einmal warten.

P.S. Es gibt soviel zu erzählen, auch gibt es noch viele Fotos/ Videos mehr - jedes Tier hat seine Geschichte. Und eben auch die traurigen Momente, wo ein Rettungsversuch nicht gelang und das Tier es trotz aller Bemühungen nicht geschafft hat. To all animal lovers who can help!

I really thought I could do it all alone but finally I have to give in and ask for your help.

I am an architecture student from Germany living in Mexico for several years now. As you can probably imagine animal protection and care are at very low standards here, nothing comparable to what we are used to in first world countries. Though I could not even dare to imagine the misery that I found myself confronted with. I decided to help where I could, especially with street dogs and cats.

In the meantime, I live with 11 dogs and 4 cats, had to rent me a house outside the city with a little garden to accommodate the gang.

Some are cats and dogs found injured or starving in the streets, apparently abandoned and left to destiny, others had to be helped out of precarious situations.

Everyone that takes care of one or even more animals and shares his live with them knows that apart of the joy they bring they also can cause some work and spending when taken care of responsibly. Veterinary bills, food, worse even special food that I need for two of my dogs and an asthmatic cat (which additionally needs 14-day cycle depository medication and probably soon will need an inhalator) - all needs to be and obviously will be paid. But I have really reached my financial limits and don´t know how to keep going any other way than ask for help to keep going. Credit card debts and veterinary bills (they really help me out there) have accumulated that need to be paid, university is on hold, my car and teeth need some urgent repairs. I´m really reducing myself to bare minimum right now to manage the wellbeing of my gang. Which is always my ultimate goal: have them have a nice and worthy home and life!

One way to help could also be to take over a sponsorship for one of the animals. Betty Boo, a dog I found dying in the streets half a year ago, turned into an absolute bundle of energy thanks to the help of a lady that took charge of her financial needs. I am so absolutely grateful for that!

The gang and I would appreciate your help so much, even though it´s just a minimal amount, literally every cent, every dollar helps alleviate the situation.

Now, Gofundme asks me to define a first goal for my fundraiser, which is a little difficult in this general case. This year started with some ugly medical emergencies which include intoxications of two of my dogs (God knows what they ate), some heavy asthma attacks of one of the cats that needed urgent care and some dental care in my case which left some debt that has to be paid. In addition, a blown head gasket of my car that needs urgent repair for it is my and the animals only means of transportation. Also, it would be great to get back to university to just finish – I´m so close to graduating. Actually, the amount politely asked for at this moment would be a means of getting my life back on track. I do have some more great ideas to help my gang but these have to wait a little for the moment.

¡A los amantes de los animals, echan me una mano!

Realmente pensé que podía hacerlo todo solo, pero finalmente tengo que ceder y pedir su ayuda.

Soy un estudiante de arquitectura de Alemania que vive en México desde hace varios años. Como probablemente puedan imaginar, la protección y el cuidado de los animales aquí están en niveles muy bajos, nada comparables con lo que estamos acostumbrados en los países del primer mundo. Aunque ni siquiera me atrevía a imaginar la miseria con la que me encontré. Decidí ayudar donde pudiera, especialmente con perros y gatos callejeros.

En este momento, vivo con 11 perros y 4 gatos. Tuve que alquilar una casa fuera de la ciudad con un pequeño jardín para acomodar a la banda.

La mayoria son gatos y perros que encontré heridos o hambrientos en las calles, aparentemente abandonados y dejados a su suerte, otros se habian que liberar de situaciones precarias.

Todos los que cuidan de uno o más animales y comparten su vida con ellos saben que, aparte de la alegría que traen, también implican trabajo y gastos si se les cuida de manera responsable. Facturas veterinarias, comida, y peor aún, comida especial que necesito para dos de mis perros con alergias y un gato asmático (que además necesita medicación de depósito cada 14 días y probablemente pronto requerirá un inhalador) – todo debe y obviamente será pagado. Pero realmente he llegado a mi límite financiero y no sé cómo seguir adelante de otra forma que no sea pedir ayuda para continuar. Las deudas de tarjetas de crédito y las facturas veterinarias (ellos realmente me ayudan mucho) se han acumulado y necesitan ser pagadas. La universidad está en pausa, mi coche y mis dientes necesitan reparaciones urgentes. Ahora mismo estoy reduciendo mi vida al mínimo para asegurar el bienestar de mi manada. Mi objetivo siempre es este: ¡asegurar que tengan un hogar y una vida dignos y agradables!

Una forma de ayudar también podría ser asumir el patrocinio de uno de los animales. Betty Boo, una perrita que encontré muriendo en las calles hace medio año, se convirtió en un paquete de energía gracias a la ayuda de una señora que asumió sus necesidades financieras. ¡Estoy absolutamente agradecida por eso!

La banda y yo apreciaríamos mucho su ayuda, incluso si es solo una cantidad mínima, literalmente, cada euro, cada peso ayuda a aliviar la situación.

Ahora, Gofundme me pide que se defina un objetivo inicial para mi recaudación de fondos, lo cual es un poco difícil en este caso general. Este año comenzó con algunas emergencias médicas desagradables que incluyen la intoxicación de dos de mis perros (Dios sabe qué comieron), algunos ataques de asma graves de uno de los gatos que necesitó atención urgente y algo de cuidado dental en mi caso, lo cual dejó una deuda que tiene que ser pagada. Además, la junta de cabeza del motor de mi coche se dañó y necesita reparación urgente, ya que es mi único medio de transporte para mí y los animales. También, sería genial poder regresar a la universidad y terminar – estoy muy cerca de graduarme. En realidad, la cantidad solicitada en este momento sería un medio para encarrilar mi vida nuevamente. Tengo algunas ideas más para ayudar a la banda, pero estas tendrán que esperar un poco por ahora.

Agradezco enormemente que hayan tomado el tiempo de leer mi pequeña historia hasta el final y espero motivarlos a dejar algo, por pequeño que sea, para 11 perros, 4 gatos y su cuidador pachucho – ¡todos estaríamos realmente muy agradecidos!
