Hallie Campbell is the owner, founder and primary operator of K-9 & Katnip Pet Services, one of the highest-rated pet care businesses in the metro-Atlanta area. Hallie is also a loving and adored daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Earlier this year, Hallie had to have an intensive surgery on her skull to remove painful tumors that were making her sick. After the surgery in June, Hallie did remarkably well in her recovery and was looking forward to slowly but surely getting back on her feet and back to doing what she loves most – running K-9 & Katnip Pet Services and serving her caring clients. Then in July, she received the results from the biopsy of the tumors and learned she has an aggressive form of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and her plans came to a screeching halt.
"They submitted the large tumor that was growing on my forehead, diseased bone, and diseased dera (lining of the brain). It all came back as LARGE B CELL - Lymphoma," said Hallie. "I now have more tests scheduled and a doctor who specializes in lymphoma that I will be seeing over the next few weeks to give me my plan for treatment. Emory and Piedmont are working together on learning more about my tumor and diseased bone."
Hallie is facing a road of uncertainty – she knows that many more tests and biopsies are to come. She knows that she will receive chemotherapy treatments. And she knows that she will have to push back her goal of fully running the busy, day-to-day operations of K-9 & Katnip Pet Services to focus on her own health and well-being.
It goes without saying that the life-saving treatments Hallie needs are expensive. And now, more than ever, Hallie needs the help and support of the many people she has helped and supported by providing her love, care, attention and professionalism. It’s hard to express how important our pets are to us and Hallie has built a business that takes exceptional care of our furry family members. If you can, please consider donating to this GoFundMe and sharing Hallie’s story on your social media. Hallie has enriched our lives and our pets’ lives – let’s make sure we take care of her like she’s taken care of us.
This GoFundMe page will also serve as the primary place to get updates on Hallie’s journey and health. She is so appreciative of all of the people who have already reached out with kind words and gifts and she looks forward to finishing this fight and beating this cancer.
Again, thank you for your support in any capacity.
