We are the Halley Elementary sixth grade Future Problem Solving team representing the junior division of Virginia at the International Conference held at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst June 5th – 9th, 2019. The Future Problem Solving Program challenges kids to create futuristic and outside of the box ideas to solve future problems that may occur worldwide. Our team was selected to participate in the Virginia State Bowl. We had a fantastic experience and to add to the excitement, we won 1st place in the entire state of Virginia for the junior division!
We are overwhelmed by the opportunity before us and can't wait to attend. In order to attend, we hope to raise $4000 toward registration, accommodations and travel to participate in the four-day competition. We were hoping you would be able to help us reach our goal. We can't wait for this memorable experience and will represent Virginia to the best of our ability!
Thank you in advance for your support,
Hemali Ahmed, Ayla Bibbens, Nicole Patterson, Jocelyn Tran and Coach, Jenny Weis
