Please help my niece Halle

Most of you know, I am not one to ask for help very often. The exception to that rule is when it saves lives and typically around the context of what I am doing to help Save A Warrior. If there is one cause that trumps the work I do with SAW it is my family.
With tears in my eyes I am asking for your help. My amazing younger sister, Katie Greenwalt, just called me sobbing and asking me for help as her 8yr old daughter (my niece) was recently diagnosed with Lupus. For those that don't know, Lupus is an auto-immune disease that attacks the body and is incurable and is very rare in young people.

As if that news isn't not bad enough, we have learned she has stage 4 kidney disease and has been put on very aggressive steroids and will more than likely need a kidney transplant at some point in the future. Between the illness and the steroids, which are just horrible, little Halle is dealing with wild mood swings, rashes, swelling, fevers, and overall just not feeling well.
To make matters worse she and 2 of her siblings just got diagnosed with Influenza A, which is very dangerous for a someone with this disease with her immune system so week.
We know that this is going to be a long road, and we have know idea what costs are going to come out of this, but we are certain it is not going to be cheap.
Right now we need to get Halle to a specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota which requires a $5,000 retainer (which is the minimum cost) as well as other costs and transportation/lodging. There may be an opening for Halle as soon as the end of February, but they need the funds 1 day prior to being seen. If you are in a place to help my Sister's family, and little Halle I can't tell you how much that would mean to me. I am so hopeful that we can get Halle back to some level of normalcy with regard to her health as she has such an amazing smile and spirit that truly lights up the world!
