Hi Friends! My name is Halladay Quist and I am a singer songwriter from Montana, writing tunes on stand up bass, banjo, guitar, and ukulele. This is my Bus, The Golden Rose, and she needs a little help. Right now she is resting in Alamosa, but with your help she'll be back on the road soon to head down to Muscle Shoals to record my next album.
Muscle Shoals is a historic recording studio that has captured the magic of Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Alicia Keys and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to name a few. What draws me to this studio is the legend the first people tell of the voice of the river that flows through that valley. I have an incredible team assembled including Grammy award winning engineer Jimmy Nutt, Emmy winning producer Lance Bendiken, and Nashville Hall of Fame Songwriter Kostas, to name a few.
I have never been more excited to share this new music. From my years on the road, opening for acts like Jewel, Michael Martin Murphey, Collin Raye, I have fine tuned a sound that makes my heart sing. A blend of sultry blues on stand up bass and outlaw country rock on electric guitar. I've been sitting down with record company heads, management and booking agencies and am getting excited about how we will release this new music.
