Who Am I?

My name is Jordi Lancel —proud father, devoted husband, and passionate Game Director. I’ve been a professional Game Designer since 2012, contributing to several major titles, including:

The gaming industry has been going through turbulent times, with layoffs, shifting regulations, and an oversaturated market making it harder than ever to stay afloat. While I’ve been very fortunate to hold a successful role as a Game Director for over a year now, but the time to release Mechjestic is drawing near. This project is made up from the ground by me, giving it my all! I've personally invested a significant amount of my ambition, time and own money into this project, making the long term risks even greater.

What Drives Me?

I've always taken time to reflect on my journey, especially these last few months. One thing has remained clear—designing games is what I do best. However, beyond game development, my passions extend to writing and archaeology.

In 2021, before my son was born, I embarked on a life-changing archaeological expedition to Egypt. As a hobbyist archaeologist and writer, this experience fueled my dream of writing a book—a fictional thriller inspired by my real-world discoveries. Unfortunately, due to a major burnout and the immense stress of the past two years, I had to put that dream on hold. But I don’t want to let it slip away!

Elias Grant, a successful investment analyst and hobby archeologist in his spare time, has dedicated his life to unraveling history’s greatest mysteries. But when a cryptic interview with reclusive scholar Lucien Voss hints at knowledge long buried, Elias finds himself drawn into a labyrinth of forbidden truths. His search leads him across the globe—to the star maps of Göbekli Tepe, the resonant chambers of Malta, the hidden mechanics of Stonehenge, and the celestial secrets of Machu Picchu. At each step, he pieces together an ancient puzzle that has eluded humanity for millennia.

Yet, the deeper he digs, the more dangerous his journey becomes. A secretive organization known as The Veil is watching, determined to keep the past locked away. It’s a deeply personal thriller based on my own findings—a semi fictional story about obsession, ancient knowledge, secret societies, and the quiet tragedy of losing everything in pursuit of the truth. At its heart is Elias Grant, an investment analyst and a hobby archaeologist who’s trying to uncover a hidden chamber beneath the Sphinx—but what he finds could change humanity forever.

But this isn’t just a story...

It’s the beginning of something much larger: a mythos that reaches back to Egypt, forward to AI, and across continents and conspiracies. It blends ancient mysteries with modern science, real alignments with fictional legends, and dreams with memory.

I’m writing Hall of Records to reclaim a part of myself, and hopefully inspire something in others who believe there’s more to our past—and future—than we’ve been told.
