On January 22nd, not only did my life change forever, but so did the lives of my children. I was diagnosed with CNS lymphoma and became medically disabled almost overnight. I am now undergoing healing through liquid IV chemotherapy, and this diagnosis has drastically and unexpectedly changed my ability to manage daily responsibilities.

I am the mother of four children, ages 3, 6, 8, and 11. Until recently, I was responsible for most of their daily care, including preparing healthy lunches, walking them into school, and providing transportation to and from school and after-school programs. Being intentional about their nutrition and daily routines has always been important to me, and sending lunches from home was a meaningful part of that consistency.

At this time, their father has stepped in as the primary caregiver. While he is doing everything he can, this transition has been sudden and overwhelming. He needs as much support as possible to help keep our children’s routines stable during this period of adjustment. We are currently in need of assistance with school meals or organizing a meal train, as well as help with transportation to and from school and after-school activities.

Additionally, my college-aged daughter has been deeply impacted by these events. She was recently involved in a car accident that resulted in her vehicle being totaled. As she works to regroup and stabilize her situation, she is in need of support with transportation and related expenses through September.

This has been an incredibly difficult adjustment for our entire family, especially the children. We want to ensure that the school is fully aware of our circumstances and respectfully ask for any support, resources, or accommodations that may be available to us during this time.
