Hello, I'm Archit Palit, and I recently had a life-changing experience during my visit to India this summer. What started as a simple trip to reconnect with family turned into a powerful journey of discovering an urgent need in a local school. These changes of morals sprung from when I visited a high school close to where my parents were brought up and I got to meet the principal, children, and teachers. At first glance I could tell not all students had backpacks, notebooks, or even lunch but it was clear they were determined to learn and support each other. Students without lunch were shared lunches by other students, students without notebooks collaborated with other students; there was not a hint of selfishness in the air. Although these students don't seem to mind, I've realized I have an outlet that could make a difference surrounding the students lives.
