Halima & Evan's NICU Journey for baby Sienna

Hi friends and family of Halima and Evan. As some of you know, Halima and Evan were expecting to welcome their first baby in March of 2024. While the two were traveling for the holidays with their dog Maisie, Halima suddenly went into preterm labor 10+ weeks early and 1,000 miles from home. She was rushed to the hospital and within hours, baby Sienna was born at just 27 weeks at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Weighing only 2 pounds and 10 ounces at birth, Sienna Jolie Cameron came out kicking and by the grace of God has quickly proven to be strong beyond her tiny size. She will reside at TCH’s NICU, one of the best facilities in the country for premature babies, for the foreseeable future (doctors estimate 10+ weeks) while she continues to grow, gain strength and wean off of life-saving support.

We have organized this Gofundme to help support them and alleviate some of their immense stress as they navigate unexpected long-term NICU hospital bills and secure accommodations for themselves and Maisie in Houston while Sienna receives the intensive care needed.
