Halil İbrahim, 04.08.2017 tarihinde Malatya’da dünyaya geldi. SMA tip-3 hastası. Hastalığından pandemi döneminden şüphelenmiştik ancak bize pandemiden ötürü “hareketsiz kaldığı için güçsüzleşmiştir” denildiği için uzun süre bekletildik ve bu yüzden SMA tanısı maalesef geç konuldu. Bugün 8 yaşında Halil İbrahim, babası bir e-ticaret sitesinde kargo personeli annesi ise ev hanımı, 16 yaşında bir de ablası var. Halil İbrahim çok zeki, çok çalışkan. Öğretmenlerinin gururu, arkadaşlarının en sevdiği çocuklardan biri. Ama koşamıyor. Arkadaşları bahçede oynarken o çoğu zaman sınıfta kalıyor. Geç tanı ve Tip 3 SMA nedeniyle Zolgensma tedavisine uygun olmadığı söylendi bize, ancak 2 yaş üstü için yeni geliştirilen Itvısma ilacı Halil İbrahim ve bizim için yeniden umut oldu. Halil İbrahim is very intelligent and hardworking. He is the pride of his teachers and one of the most beloved children among his friends. But he cannot run. While his friends play in the garden, he often stays in the classroom. Due to the late diagnosis and Type 3 SMA, we were told that he is not suitable for Zolgensma treatment, but the newly developed Itvisma drug for children over 2 years old has given Halil İbrahim and us renewed hope. His only missing piece is being able to walk and run. Maybe one day he can catch up with his friends. Instead of watching them from afar, he can play games with them.
