Halie’s Road To Recovery
The Family has wanted to put their own words into the fundraiser and here they are: I wanted to take a moment to clarify what the funds we are raising will be going toward, and to provide some background on what happened to my sister and her boyfriend.
On May 11, 2021, my sister Halie Anderson was in a severe car accident, in which they were t-boned by a driver running a red light. The majority of the impact was on the front passenger side, where my sister was sitting. Due to this accident, Halie has sustained life-threatening injuries, including head trauma, occipital fractures, facial fractures, chest trauma (fractured sternum, broken clavicle, multiple broken ribs), multiple pelvic fractures, and a broken ankle. Her care is of the utmost importance to us and while Halie is fighting for her life, we have to fight for Halie. Between medical bills, travel costs, and future rehab, we are facing a monumental bill. Our family is one to not normally ask for help, as we pride ourselves on being the ones to render aid when needed. But, today we face an obstacle that we know, for the benefit of my sister’s well-being, we must accept the help that has been so generously offered so far, and ask for a little more. My family and I cannot express how deeply moved and thankful we are at the outpouring of support, love, prayers and positive thoughts. You have all been our rock throughout this last week, and we could not have gotten through this time without you. If you have the ability to donate, we would be immensely grateful, and if you cannot, then please keep my sister in your prayers. She is fighting so very hard to return to us, and each and every positive thought is bringing us one step closer to bringing my little sister home.
Much love and thanks,
The Anderson Family
