Hi, my name is Halie. On May 28th, 2025, our world flipped upside down. We were turning left out on a road and we didn’t see anyone coming. (We also had an obstructed view.) Within a matter of seconds, I looked over to my left (I was the passenger, so towards the driver's side) and saw a blue vehicle and said to my fiancé, “BABE.” He only had enough time to look, brake, and brace for impact. We were slowly pulling out; she was going about 35-40 mph, so my fiancé stopping and braking saved us from a much harsher impact. I don’t remember the impact or crashing sounds, but the sounds of airbags deploying are starting to come to. I was screaming while my fiancé was stunned (his side was hit).

I was 30 weeks and 2 days pregnant. My seatbelt locked into place, and all airbags but one deployed (my side airbag didn’t deploy, just my curtain airbag). I was in immense pain in my hip, and the seatbelt felt like it tore into my lower stomach. I also started having contractions.

Baby is still thankfully inside me. I was taken via ambulance within minutes after the wreck, and trauma initiated with possible serious injuries. Thankfully, I’m not suffering from any really major injuries, but I have a couple of internal minor injuries, and I’ve been suffering in an immense amount of pain.

With this very unexpected wreck, it totaled our car, took the only car seats we had for our other 2 kids, and we no longer have jobs. (I wasn’t working prior anyway due to pregnancy and medical issues out of pregnancy.) But my fiancé isn’t able to work as our only transportation was totaled. We also have a 4 and 2.5 year old girls! We’ve got lights, water, phone bills, and rent to all worry about while trying to cope with how it all happened so fast. We are just trying to raise money to help pay a couple of months' worth of bills while we navigate around this wreck and we have our baby girl next month!

Even the smallest amount helps, and all will go towards bills until he gets a job!
