Hi, our names are Crystal and Emma and we are a part of the prom committee this year at HHSS! 

We are extremely excited to be part of a group of students organizing our prom this year and have been doing our best to start planning fundraisers. This has been a tough few years and many of us are looking forward to going away to school next year or wherever our plans may take us. We have been deprived of a typical high school experience and this is our first relatively normal one since our grade 9 year, and we are so appreciative for all that we have this year. 


As our high school lives come to a close, we can't help but listen to all of the stories, reminisce about all of the memories that we have made, and become closer with all of our amazing teachers and fellow classmates.  Prom night is a night to remember, and hopefully, we will be lucky enough to experience this once-in-a-lifetime feeling.  Our prom is our way to have one last celebration with our friends and classmates of many years.  We are extremely grateful for this opportunity as the last two years of graduates didn't get this chance.  



Usually, we would be farther along with traditional fundraising, but covid restrictions, and not knowing if prom was going to happen or not, has set our fundraising back. We are excited that now restrictions have been lifted, we can finally begin our fundraising campaign, and this is our latest fundraising idea. 


For the last few months, we have been planning and fundraising to make this night in late may the most fun and enjoyable we can.  If/when we reach our goal, we will stop collecting funds.  The funds raised will be used to subsidize ticket prices for students, and to add extras like a DJ or a photographer, or other things that we might not otherwise consider.
