This is Eli's dad. Now that Alyx is out, I wanted to surprise Eli with it. After adding up the cost of all the hardware needed, it's well into the thousands and I no gotty.
Yes, I know there are starving kids out there and if that convicts you, then I encourage you to donate there instead. But if you'd like to be a part of the happy sequel to Eli's story, here's your chance. If this works, I will make a cool video of him playing it for the first time, and (somehow) include the names of all who helped make it happen.
Eli is a good kid. No really, I'm not just saying that because I'm his dad. He makes straight A's, looks after his baby sister, and still runs to greet me with a hug when I get home. He loves his family, likes to draw, read, play outside, and be a nerd.
