Half marathon for the Butterfly AVM charity
In memory of Amy Gebbie, I will be running the Leeds half marathon on May 12th.
Amy was diagnosed with AVM or arteriovenous malformations, which are tangles of blood vessels with improper artery to vein connections. Amy suffered a fatal rupture on the 23rd of December and sadly passed away.
I will be running for the Butterfly AVM charity, with the goal of helping raise funds and awareness for much needed research into the understanding of AVMs. Due to the rarity of AVMs in the population there is a significant lack of funding. This charity enables direct funding for research in the hope of discovering definite treatments.
Any support is much appreciated!
Amy, you are in our thoughts everyday
