Half Marathon for SUN Centre Nigeria
Donation protected
My brother and I will be running the Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon on July 5th! This is our first half marathon and we are doing it for a cause that’s very close to our family's heart: the Sokses Uplifting & Nurturing Centre (SUN), founded by our mum.
About SUN
Located in her hometown, Igbara-Oke, Ondo State. SUN empowers young adults (aged 15–24) from disadvantaged backgrounds through a fully funded apprenticeship scheme. They offer training in tailoring, beauty & makeup, barbering, hairstyling, and craftsmanship, along with personal development and confidence-building, paving the way for better future prospects.
SUN has been a success with over 50 graduates so far and many testimonies but needs help to keep going. SUN’s current enrolment is at full capacity, and donations will be used to purchase additional equipment and resources—allowing more students to benefit from training.
Every contribution, every pound raised will make a significant impact. Please join us in supporting this —thank you in advance for your generosity!
