Hi! I’m Libby and I am raising money for CMT UK, a charity close to mine and my family’s hearts. CMT is a progressive, neurological condition affecting the muscles on the feet, lower legs, hands and forearms - therefore impacting mobility.

CMT Uk is a fantastic charity, and has supported both my nan and brother over the years. It has built a community especially for my brother, by organising the annual CMT Kids Weekends, which I have been fortunate enough to experience for a number of years alongside my brother. It provides young people with CMT an opportunity to meet and make friends with other people with CMT, as well as build on their confidence by completing activities such as: rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, caving and many more!

In honour of CMT awareness month, I will be running the Bexhill half marathon at the beginning of November! All donations fundraised will go to CMT Uk, which will be used for research advancing treatment options and general understanding of the disability, as well as events such as the CMT kids weekend, to support people with CMT.
