Haley's Medical Emergency

Haley is my awesome older sister who has been healthy her entire life until recently when her lungs decided to stop functioning properly which causesd the right side of her heart to fail. She went to the ER on Feb 15 and was admitted and moved into the ICU. She no longer could breathe well (later we found out that the bottom half of each lung was collapsed and over 2 liters was removed from her lungs). The nurse estimated that she had approximately 30 lbs of fluid retention in her legs, stomach, and legs. After a multitude of tests she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension group 1 (meaning it started for an unknown cause). She is hoping to be discharged after 12 days in the ICU. She will need medication to help her heart and lungs for the remainder of her life which is a rare drug and extremely expensive ($200k per year if she didn't have insurance). This drug will be administered through an IV like device forever. The end goal is a lung transplant. The money raised will help pay medical bills (trips to Mayo, current hospital stay, and medications). We thank you for all and any donations.
