Hello friends and family,
My name is Leila Foster, and I'm starting a gofundme account on behalf of my partner, Haley Robertshaw. She is 22 years old, and up until the beginning of May, she had been in considerably good health. At the beginning of May, she had undiagnosed symptoms that led her to the E.R.
She has been diagnosed with High Grade Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma Cancer. Her treatment has been expedited to combat with the complications that have arisen. The tumor in her chest sits right above her heart and stretches over her jugular vein and smaller veins surrounding the area, thus causing three blood clots in her neck. She is now on day four of her first round. Each round of chemotherapy is 6 days straight with 15 off days lasting roughly 6-8 months. Treatment could go longer depending on how well the chemo works.
Everything has been happening very quickly, so we welcome the extra support.
During this time Haley cannot work, and as her primary caretaker, Haley's oncologist asked me to take the next 8 months off as well. This brings up financial issues such as rent, groceries, transportation expenses, medical expenses, our monthly bills, and miscellaneous items that will help her be more comfortable for the next 8 months.
If financial support is not the way you feel that you can be of support to us, do not hesitate to reach out with meals, helping hands, encouragement, or prayer. With everything considered, any form of help is appreciated.
Haley is kind, smart, loving, and most importantly the strongest warrior I know. We want to make this journey comfortable with the least amount of stress so she can focus on kicking cancer's butt!!!
Much love to everyone, and thank you now, and thank you in the future.
