Dear Friends, Supporters, and Cricket Enthusiasts,
Halesowen Cricket Club has a long and proud history, serving as a hub for our community and nurturing local talent. We've seen generations of players develop their skills on our beloved square and outfield, creating lasting memories and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie.
However, to ensure our ground remains a top-quality venue for players of all ages and abilities, we urgently need to upgrade our essential equipment. Over time, wear and tear have taken their toll, impacting the quality of our pitches and the overall safety of our playing area.
We are launching an appeal to raise funds for the following vital equipment:
- New square preparing equipment. Our current mower does not have the capability to prepare the square and wickets in a suitable way. The club needs new verticutter and brush cassettes to allow proper preparation of the square and outfield to allow the best possible surfaces for all teams, ranging from our BDCPL first team down to our youngest teams in the junior section.
- General ground maintenance tools: Additional tools to aid the groundsman and volunteers in the upkeep of the ground.
These upgrades will not only enhance the playing experience for our current members but also attract new players and ensure the long-term sustainability of Halesowen Cricket Club.
