On March 30th, 2025,
our son, Baby Halen D’Or, turned six and a half months old. Like every other Sunday morning, he went to his GiGi’s house for childcare while his father and I went to work. We never could have imagined that this Sunday would be the one that nearly changed everything.
We never made it back to pick up Baby Halen that afternoon, because while we were at work, he and his GiGi were attacked by our longtime family dog.
Baby Halen was airlifted to a more advanced hospital via AirCare EMS, suffering from puncture wounds across his body, three broken ribs, and a punctured lung.
Right now, our little boy is stable. He remains unconscious and on a ventilator, but he is here—he is fighting. As we wait for his MRI results, we are preparing for a long stay at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, hoping for steady progress and, eventually, the day we can bring our boy home.
We have created a GoFundMe—not because Medicaid won’t cover his medical bills, but because life does not pause for grief or healing. The expenses will continue, and our only wish is to be by our son’s side without the immediate pressure of returning to work.
If you are unable to donate, please know that prayers are just as—if not more—valuable. Your kindness, thoughts, and blessings mean everything to us in this time of uncertainty.
Thank you for your time, your love, and your support.
With gratitude,
The Lundgren Family
