Hello!

As many of you may already know Niki had an emergency C-section on August 8th. Our daughter Indiana (Indie) Grace came into the world 3 months early.

Niki had an extremely rare complication, her old C-section scar healed open on her uterus, it never fully closed. This was unknown and as Indie grew that opening grew with her. It was not caught by doctors and became life threatening. Indie’s amniotic sack was starting to come out of that hole in Niki’s uterus and started to tear the uterus open more. The only reason Niki did not bleed out was because Indies amniotic sack applied enough pressure to prevent bleeding. There is no medical explanation for why Indies amniotic sack did not burst. Every doctor has stated that this is a miracle.

Niki has a lot of healing ahead of her and Indie has a lot of growing to do in the NICU. As a family they will need support during this time. Aaron and Niki will be out of work while Indie is in the NICU and will need help to pay bills. We are unsure what medical bills will look like from this experience as well.
