Help Support Hajro, Safa, and Adis During His Recovery

Our dear friend, Hajro Bilalic, has been in and out of the ER since August 28th with life-threatening complications. What started as sudden chest pain turned out to be an emergent aortic tear, requiring open-heart surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Thanks to the incredible team of doctors and nurses, Hajro made it through surgery, but his road to recovery will be long. As his hospital note explains, he has strict post-operative restrictions: he cannot drive for at least 6 weeks, and he cannot lift more than 20 lbs for 8 weeks. That means he will be unable to return to work for months, leaving his wife, Safa, and their young son, Adis, without their primary source of income.

Hajro is one of the kindest, hardest-working people you will ever meet. He has poured his heart into supporting his family and helping friends and neighbors. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
