My name is Wendy Boisrond, I'm Haitian American and I'm a nurse . Due to the current emergency situation in Haiti as a result of the hurricane Matthew , I personally think is time to standup for my beloved country. My parents where born in Haiti and are currently there.I spent most of my teenage life in Haiti, with friends and families. As an adult, i visit Haiti on a regular basis. Nature has been very tough on haiti to say the truth ,it's been from one disaster to another . In january 2010 an earthquake hit Haiti  and killed between 46,000 to  316,000 people and leaving uncountable amount of people without shelter, food and clean water(online source). As result, water bond disease such as cholera  claimed the life of thousands of Haitians. Even though help was given but it was not enough. And now Haiti has been hit again with another natural disaster, the Hurricane Matthew, which could be  the worst this nation has ever seen. i am so heart broken. the dead toll keep  rising every day , my people are dying, some have been injured, some are sick, some don't even  have food to eat or shelter.  Please watch the videos on this page , its  just a glims of what is going on currently in Haiti.  i have decided to visit Haiti and add more energy to the ones helping already. I am gathering first aid supplies, socks, ibuprofen, benadryl, mucinex, and any over the counter medications. barrels and boxes will be sent as soon as they are full. it takes 6 weeks to receive them in Haiti. I would like to get basics and water to them sooner, that is how your money will be helpful. First aid items: Bacitracin,socks,pads,soap,toothpaste,toothbrush,bandage,gauze,alcohol pads,claritin,benadryl,pain medications,antidiarrheal meds(imodium), peptobismol and anything you use on a daily basis will be bought with the money i receive.
