Haitian Mother In Law Needs New Leg &Medical Care

Donation protected
I am writing this story on behalf of my mother in-law Louisane Jean Baptiste (67 years old) and two brothers-in-law Peterson and Clachimsky Jean, who just arrived in the United States on June 16th 2023, on Humanitarian Parole from Haiti.
Louisane is a true survivor and fighter who suffered severe trauma and injury in the 2010 Earthquake in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Louisane was trapped under the rubble of her home, went missing in the cleanup, and found alive 4 days after the earthquake in a pile of deceased bodies. Her right leg was amputated below the knee due to infection and lack of medical access for proper injury repairs. Both her daughter and granddaughter passed away in the same collapsed house that Louisane was trapped in.
Louisane has received only poor medical care in Haiti since the earthquake 13 years ago. My husband and I applied for her visa to come to the US for treatment years ago, but given the crisis and civil war happening in Haiti, plus the slow processing of these visas in the United States nothing has ever moved forward. We found an alternative route to get her to the United States. She has been granted humanitarian parole along with her two sons, my two brothers-in-law.
I’m creating this GoFundMe page now on behalf of Louisane, Peterson and Clachimsky. Louisane is in desperate need for medical treatment (which we have already started), a new prosthetic leg, ongoing health monitoring as well as PTSD and mental health rehabilitation. She has never received quality medical care since the earthquake disaster and many of her health problems have been going on for years. My goal is to create a better quality of life for Louisane and give her a life worth living for however many years she has left. As for Peterson and Clachimsky, the next step would be to acquire work visas so they can apply for jobs, work and start a new life here in the United States.
Our goal is to raise funds to support this ongoing need for finances to support the medical care, treatment of illness, prosthesis, therapy, work visas, housing and food assistance for our extended family. I thank you in advance for your support and prayers. Any amount you can give will be deeply appreciated. This is a journey that I knew was going to be a part of my future but I never imagined the gravity of the full situation. I am so proud of my husband Jimy and his perseverance to stand by and care for his family.
