Haiti Education Disaster Relief
Tax deductible
In 2012, my wife and I traveled with The Haiti Education Foundation to visit Haiti and get to know some of the people who lived there. It was definitely a culture shock to see some of the cities and the aftermath of the tragic earthquake that struck in 2010. However, despite all of the destruction and poverty, the one thing which stuck out the most was how happy the people were. You could see that their values, faith and family, were of the utmost importance. Unfortunately, Haiti finds itself once again in the state of emergency after it found itself in the path of the category 5 Hurricane Matthew. Today, we're looking for help and support for the people of Haiti so we can keep their faith strong and their families safe.
The Haiti Education Foundation has provided education to children in the remote mountains of southern Haiti for over 30 years. Hurricane Matthew has either destroyed or damaged almost all of the schools that we support. The communities have suffered great loss due to the lack of rain in Haiti over the past several years and now the winds and rains of Matthew have destroyed what little they did have in their gardens.
Please help us to provide food for these many families who are in great need.
For $2.00 a day, you can feed a family of six…we are asking for help to feed them for the next 30 days until they can get their lives back on track and gardens replanted and growing.
HEF was built on the principle that 100% of every donation is used as designated by the donor. We have people in place to purchase and distribute the food to many families who will otherwise not survive this tragedy.
Thank you so much for working with us to bring help to communities which would otherwise be forgotten. For more information, please visit our web site at www.haitifoundation.org.
